each page as if your life depends on it.  “Tidewater Inn” was no exception.  If you judge the book by its cover, you couldn’t help but think that it is a peaceful, uneventful story that takes place at an inn by the sea, but wait!  This is written by Colleen Coble!   Her books always have more to them than what meets the eye.   Get ready for suspense and intrigue, with a dash of romance.

“Tidewater Inn” is the first of Coble’s new Hope Beach series.  The novels centers on Libby Holladay, whose passion is preserving and restoring historic homes.  Her partner, Nicole Ingram, is scoping out the next lead on Hope Island and stumbles across a find with exponential historic and financial value.  While doing so, Nicole unknowingly puts her life in great danger and is kidnapped.  Libby witnesses the kidnapping and immediately calls the authorities and travels to Hope Island in search of her friend.  However, what Libby discovers on the island are things she been searching and hoping for her whole life.

Coble’s books have always been fast, enjoyable reads for me.  While some of the plots are a little “out there”, Coble has a way of drawing them all together towards a satisfying end.  She keeps you coming back for more time and time again.  I will be anxiously waiting for the second of the Hope Beach series, “Rosemary Cottage” in July 2013.

I received a copy of this novel from BookSneeze for free in exchange for my honest review.  I was not required to give a positive review, only an honest one.
