The Rivers Run Dry by Sibella Giorello

I really enjoyed Sibella Giorello’s book, The Rivers Run Dry.  She is a very talented author, and she has a way of bring the characters alive on the page.  The Rivers Run Dry is actually the second book that features the same character, Raleigh Harmon.  I personally like to read books in chronological order, so it would have been nice to know right off that this was in a series of some sort.  You can always tell within the first few chapters that a book is part of a series, and Giorello jumped into her old established characters pretty quick.  Raleigh is an FBI agent with a soft edge.  Giorello did a great job making her someone that you can relate to on a personal level.  I had my ideas of theories on the ending, but Giorello really threw me for a loop!  There were lots of twists and turns that made the story a little difficult to follow at first, but once it smoothed out, it was an enjoyable read.  This is a fantastic mystery/suspense novel.  I have not read a ton of Mystery/Suspense novels, so Sibella’s Giorello’s The Rivers Run Dry has turned me toward the genre more and more.
